City of Elgin eBill Terms of Service Agreement

The City of Elgin does not make any warranties, whether written, oral or implied, concerning or arising out of the use of this E-Bill website or the City of Elgin Click2Gov website (hereinafter referred to as "C2G"), including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, any warranties concerning or arising out of any failure to receive any bill in a timely manner, or non-infringement of third party proprietary rights unless disclaiming such warranties is prohibited by law. The City of Elgin makes no warranties other than those expressly set forth in this agreement. The City of Elgin will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this E-Bill site or C2G, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential and punitive damages. You expressly agree that your use of this E-Bill site or C2G, or any consequences arising out of or in connection with your use of this E-Bill site, is at your sole risk. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely liable for the timely payment of any bills, regardless of whether or not you have received any such bills, whether timely or otherwise, and whether transmitted via e-mail or any other method.

The City of Elgin is committed to protecting your privacy. You acknowledge and agree that we and our vendor may receive certain private and confidential information in connection with your use of this E-Bill website or C2G. We may utilize your name, mailing address and changes thereto. We will not rent, sell or otherwise make available to any third party for any reason any of your private and confidential information that personally identifies you, your Credit Card or payments you make through C2G, other than to provide such information to C2G or to comply with applicable laws or regulations, including to provide such information to government agencies or to comply with court orders, unless you otherwise expressly agree.

You agree and warrant that you will not intentionally provide false information when accessing or using this E-Bill website or C2G services. You also agree that you will not falsify, forge or otherwise tamper with any information contained in the e-mails you receive as part of the E-Bill or C2G service.
